ARCADIS was the Construction Manager for a new, $25 million plant built on the same site as the existing plant. New facilities, capable of meeting increasingly stringent water quality standards, include a raw water intake, process building, sludge de-watering building, and a sludge thickening facility. An existing circular clarifier was retained and modified to serve the new plant. The Process Building houses Actiflo Pretreatment facility, chemical feed and storage systems, filters, clearwells, high service pumping facilities, administrative offices and laboratories. The original plant was demolished after a complete switchover to the new plant and reliability was determined.
